{Miscellany Monday}

whoa, where did the weekend go?! this past weekend was crazy busy for me, yet oh so fun. i love waking up monday mornings and knowing that i made the most of my weekends. here is a little peak at what i did.

{linking up with carissa over at ' lowercase letters ' }

{ if you want to remember what its like to be back in high school , just spend the night with some 11th grade girls! and that's exactly what i did,  i am a small group leader for our churches student ministries , so my co- leader hosted a fun sleepover for all the girls: silly , games, chick flicks, chocolate, and lots of junk food... needless to say very little sleep as well... but such fun times! love these girls and their hearts for god }

{ saturday morning our small group was blessed with the opportunity to serve with our church down in detroit. we helped gut a old detroit public elementary school , to be used by ' new breed '  a awesome ministry that serves close to 1500 homeless people meals every week and in addition is going to use the upstairs portion of this re purposed elementary school to host an after school program for about 200 young school age kids. here they will get tutoring , shelter, and be taught about the love off god.}

{ i think winter is here for good }

{ salad anyone ?! courtney serving up some salad. sunday night i helped  set up for our young adults karios feast where we meet our small groups for the semester , we cooked , decorated, and cleaned till 11:30 at night... super excited to be leading a group of 10 woman , so looking forward to diving deep into God's word }

{ i think i am becoming addicted to kate spade iPhone cases... here is the newest one! }

almost forgot to tell you how my weekly ' smell the roses' task from 'Lovely Little Things " went : so i absolutely loved the idea of being able to talk to someone on the phone that i have not talked to in a while. so often i shoot a quick text to someone because 'i don't have time to talk on the phone ' totally a lame excuse. this week i called my sister in law and was able to chat with her on the phone... we always shoot each other text during the week, but being able to hear her voice over the phone was so nice. although, it really made me miss her and my brother... but thank goodness i get to see them in florida in a few months :) it amazes me how we could talk for hours over the phone and catch up on everything from 'a to z' ! well, even if you miss the ' smell the roses' task from this week, try to give someone a call on the old fashioned phone, i promise it will make their day!

well that was my weekend at a glance.. time to grab another cup of coffee and face this week!

meg

  3. Don't you love making food HUGE style? I love making those huge batches of salad and dozens and dozens of cookie for church things. Especially because they have an industrial dish washer.
