make a difference saturday

well, most of you know i have a special place in my heart for non-profits making a difference in our community and internationally. i think it is so important to support there ministries that are being that hands and feet of christ... so each saturday i am going to spotlight a new non-profit that is making a difference. i encourage you to check them out and possibly join them in their cause.

{religion that god our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world }
::: James 1:27 :::

{about} wine to water is such an amazing organization, i first heard about them 2 years ago , while i was working for samaritan's purse based in boone , nc. wine to water worked very closely with samaritan's purse to use water filtration's systems to bring clean water to those who had none and were dying from the dirty water.  doc hendley heads up this non-profit also based out of boone, nc. in 2004 doc wanted to do do something more for our world, at the time he was bartending , but knew that he could do something more. so doc decided to host wine tasting parties to bring clean water to those who had none. he used his profession and the only skill set he knew to change the world. over the years they have been successful in bring clean water to countries such as : sudan , cambodia, india, uganda, haiti and ethopia.

{mission} wine to water is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aid organization focused on providing clean water to needy people around the world. nearly one billion people in the world today lack access to adequate water and 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation. we are devoted to fighting this epidemic. wine symbolizes fortune in our society. our goal is to give the fortunate population an opportunity to
fight for those who can’t fight for themselves

 {help}  the simplest thing that we can do is educate our selves on the problem of clean water. you can also host a wine to water party and doc and his team make it so simple to do so all you need to do is visit the wine to water website and all the instructions are there.
